Why exactly would you think me and Big Guy should be anything but allies?
We both loved Remake, and loved Rebirth even more after all.
Any differences of opinions or perceived slights between us are all in jest.

I think the current state of /ffg/ is a result of Detective Joe (Jr) desperately trying to create a new pointless case to obsess over after the last one fell apart.

I don't think you can substantiate your claims. It's sad to see /ffg/ reach the stage where most the posts could be generated by bots. You don't even believe in your own bait.

I don't think many people appreciate how big a task retelling FF7 today is. Expectations aside, we live in a time where a shock like Aerith's death simply isn't possible. Within 24 hours of release (if not sooner due to leaks or early copies making it out) thumbnails spoiling any surprise are everywhere. People complain about the mysteries and being confused, but firstly, it's a three part game. Why would you expect to know everything already? And also, when anything can be spoiled in an instant, making things unclear is probably the best choice. You have a game that's going to take the better part of a decade to complete, why wouldn't you give people something to talk about? You know how quickly single player games fall out of conversation these days? You don't realise it because you're used to your PS1 classics being talked about for decades, but that's not how it works anymore. Maybe you don't like how the 7R team did it, but you have to admit, they pulled off a little miracle - twice, no less - in making a modern single player action jrpg that people talked about for more than a week.
