I know a lot of people hate on Hori for the ending, but I actually like it. He knows he didn't properly develop this pairing to justify them being married in the end so he didn't give us such an asspull. They are two young adults who clearly have mutual feelings, and will more than likely end up together. Maybe he doesn't want to say anything yet because the ending is still fresh, but give it some time, he may confirm that they're dating in an interview one day.
