Exactly. And that service is "I keep my RL shit and my opinions on politics or current society issues talk out of my vtubing and I focus solely on my fans who are the only thing I'm here for when I'm online".
It's a mutually beneficial transaction. They focus on their fans only and give them a chance to just have some stress free fun for a few hours and provide some escapism, fans give their support, cheer them on, give them money and buy their merch and go to their concerts.
No one is owed my support. If they no longer want to adhere to this unwritten contract then I can just move elsewhere to vtubers who still want to do that .
