Same here. Frontiers helped the series a lot financially but it came at the cost of its identity and the wave of secondaries that Sega keeps catering to. The sad reality is Sega still hasnt learned shit. 2024 and the Year of Shadow felt like a swan song for sonic as a whole. Seeing Sonic Movie 3 in theaters was a religious experience for me, but after that? Yeah Im glad I've been taking a break all year afterwards. Sonic is still going in a direction Im not really liking so far, and the massive amount of slopsucking secondaries online are making it worse imo. I dont even have fangames to look forward to anymore. Im tired boss.
