For those who can't tell.... they're all the same picture. Look at the end of eXistenZ on the stage, the redhead (Lilith) outside the dream. The creator (1) surrounded by 12, 6 on each side. Lilith's wings, 6 on each side. It's the same image.

The "ghost dubbing" in GITS 2 innocence also comes to mind. Why wouldn't that be what this place is.
