Other games aleo have the same terrible flaws. Just because pathfinder has shit companions doesnt mean bg3's companions are any less shit. I fail to see how terrible flaws become less bad because everyone else is doing it.
I havent had such a inconsistant experience in any other crpg when playing as an evil character in bg3.
It tries too hard to be cinematic but only detracts from the setting and aesthetic.
Its overly performance heavy but looks like dogshit if you dare lower the settings even a tiny bit.
I can go on if I gave a shit enough.
