Somewhat unrelated but I'm just thinking if we had a character like Susie in a work of fiction from the 80s some buckhead tradcons WOULD call Susie a "he" out of spite because they'd think real girls shouldn't behave that way and that she's setting a bad example.
Lowkey, if Deltarune was released in the 80s/90s so many evangelical parents would regard it as the devilspawn of satan like they did with Pokemon.
I think more people should be thankful that we live in a time where Deltarune released and most people are just chill about it. It's not getting blasted to hell and back on the news for its "transgressive themes" or anything.
