T*pping is designed to fuck over everyone but restaurant owners and increase profits.

>Keep lower menu prices to entice customers to come in more frequently, since you don't have to pay workers as much
>The psychological effect on the customer is that with lower prices they come in more often, but they usually don't factor in the tip and the societal / psychological guilt of not t*pping makes them tip anyways
