I gott'a commend your bravery, I can't even imagine doing that. Even $30,000 isn't enough savings for me to think of quitting my job.
I've got about $150k in my savings accounts and I'd still be leery of doing something as ambitious as this. How in the world do you survive on 3k for a year? Are you just eating canned tuna? I hope that's not split between two people.
