I'm tired of bug MOs. I get teamkilled way more fucking often on bug MOs than on any other front. Bugdivers cannot be trusted with eagle cluster, orbital airburst, orbital napalm, gatling sentries, mortar sentries, and the ABRL.

Having a glaring flaw is acceptable if it actually excels at something else. The Epoch is a big collection of flaws that you need to play around for the reward of Leg-meta era anti-tank power.

The whole retarded "hurrrdurr, plasma has no demo force because it has no mass" is bullshit too. Lasers also have no mass. The rifle/pistol laser weapons have shit demo force. But when scaled up to the LC and quasar cannon, the weapons gain demo force. The epoch should likewise also gain demo force.

His mission was to capture a brain bug. That mission required a fresh offensive against the bugs, and the attack on Buenos Aires influenced the public to support the escalation of the conflict that fueled the fresh offensive. He has a motive. His powers and the think tank behind Games and Theory potentially provide the means.

We don't know the limits of his powers, but he was depicted being able to subliminally guide Rico to Carmen despite not being nearby. He also may have implanted a subconscious suggestion within Carmen's mind to deviate the battleship towards an intercept point that Games and Theory had calculated ahead of time with a known asteroid.

It is a bit of a tenuous theory, but it's more solid than the bugs making a trick shot off of a ship that wasn't supposed to be there.
