I like Sean as a dude and dev as much as the next guy, and have like 300 hours in the game.
I don't really get how so many people still play it or pick it up eventually.
It gets REALLY grindy very fast if you want anything special, the main quest is basically just a tutorial to get you through the main game loop which has close to zero meaning aside from star frequencies in galaxies 1-50 or whatever.
The base building is okay but unneccessary, there's no reason to do settlements, everything is about grinding new cosmetics to show... nobody.
is this one of these "cozy" games?

eh.
A Nailer will be more precise in the long run, especially if it's a long day constructing.
I'd use a nailer for 9-5 wageslavery and any big project at home, for smaller crafts (1-3 hours combined) use a hammer once in a while, may be cool, closer to nature and grug-DNA.
Your hammer won't need spare parts from choina after a while, maybe you'll exchange the wood but that shit can be fixed locally.
But also tell your boomer dad to appreciate the engineers.

it's pretty simple
those who are afraid of doing something illegal in their lives (i.e. violent rioting and killing politishits) will take the "wisdom" of the post-war people that you're supposed to express yourself through voting, once every 4 years only because that's how much the state respects you.
They still cannot fathom just going to Berlin to torch every single of their homes. Only when the hunger comes will they understand.
