Having driven both a 350Z and a C5 Z06, I feel like the C5 is the superior car. Faster, handles better, weighs a shitload less and is actually pretty good on fuel. The corvette is also insanely practical.

Turbo miata is still more fun than both of these cars.

In the end it depends what you want.

JDM Clout and VQ Trumpets? 350Z
Comfortable cruiser and track potential? C5 Z06 (Can't speak for the base, but I assume you're getting a manuel anyways.)
Downright fun on backroads? Miata.

Torsen diff won't break until 400+ or so. I'm pretty sure they're rated for atleast 400 ft/lb.
Thing you'll need to be more concerned about is the tranny. 5 speed is glass over 300nm/220ftlb and will kill itself down the road.
I'm using 720cc Bosch EV14 injectors (Kraken turbo kit) and the OEM pump. You'll probably want to replace that pump for a higher flowing one along with fuel upgrades such as a fuel pressure regulator.

The Miata is just fine at 280hp desu, don't think I'd want more on it here in Europe. For higher power trips I have this shitbox instead
