Parry feels like shit in general because abilities don't really have any windup but parries also last a long time, so you'll basically only ever successfully parry if you predict they're going to attack before they do
Swordfighting games all have the order be
>attacker inputs attack
>defender has a brief timer to parry
>attacker then has a brief timer to bail out of the attack to not get punished
But with Deadlock it's
>defender gambles a parry
>if attacker has a brainfart, defender successfully parries and can kill them for free
You'd expect me to be a melee main since I put hundreds of hours into Mordhau but the parry system is so dogshit in this game that I don't touch melee.
