Yeah, I wouldn't have guessed Robert and Powerplex were the same actor based on footage alone. The voice direction in Invincible having him constantly on the verge of screaming really leaned into the goofy side by comparison.

I think the comedy does a good job in how he responds to conflict and awkward situations. He's not some peerless Casanova, but he isn't tripping over himself and fumbling every curve-ball insult thrown his way either. He just comes across as tired, and burnt out on putting up with everything. So he typically gives as good as he gets.
