When you split the cases, how does the transmission separate from the engine? Does it just fall away or are there some kinds of shafts that have to slide apart?
For all the motorcycle wrenching I've done in my short time, I have yet to split cases on one.

Thanks man. You're welcome to try mine if you're ever in DFW. Lol. The center of gravity of the zx14 is very low, so while it is heavy, it handles really well. You can spin tight circles with it no problem.
I definitely recommend the bar spacers and a steering stabilizer though. The spacers make it it really comfy and the stabilizer really is needed for cutting up. Front end gets really light even on the highway under full throttle because of all the torque.
You can definitely get down with it on a back road, but it's not going to slice and dice like a true super sport. I took my zx14 to the twisties a month or so ago. Compare that to my run yesterday on my zx6r.
