I've heard over the years this series be compared to a documentary or like reading a history book. I have always loved hard sci fi and its some damned good hard sci fi sadly hard sci fi isn't always the more exciting story or action packed. You might try the more recent LOGH which is a little more quicker paced and has a bit more action focused. Shame it hasn't finished the story like the original series though.

I remember a time when you didn't even know when a series ended. You got what ever dvds were at the blockbuster or what ever aired on TV and that was it. I'm glad I missed out on the dark times of people pirating what they could on VHS though. THAT must have been rough.
