If reality leans left shouldn't the left have won the cold war?
For 50 years after WW2 the primary conflict on Earth was a geopolitical economic scientific even sporting competition between the Soviet Communist east and the Market Capitalist West.
Across various tests and challenges the Capitalist West out performed the Communist East Culminating in the Soviet Union collapsing in the early 1990s.
If reality has a left wing bias shouldn't the communists have won? Why didn't reality align with leftist ideals?

The entire second half of the 20th century, after 1945 closed the curtain on WW2 was a period of history called the Cold War. An economic cultural and scientific competition between the left wing Communist Soviet Union and the right wing Capitalist United States of America
The Soviet Union was supposedly a workers paradise, but they had to build walls to keep people from leaving. The media in America elevated them, you had progressive journalists saying things like I saw the future and it works in the Soviet Union". None of those journalists saw the collapse of the Soviet Union coming.
So after saying all that how can you say a party that prioritized actual leftist economic policies would never lose an election?
