The thing is you can’t get rid of leftists. Leftism is an idea, it can pop up anywhere. Same thing with the right. We shouldn’t meet mental illness with hate, or violence. It will only invoke a defensive reaction. It’s not their fault. Instead, we should study it, and find the best solution to mitigate it humanely. Empathy guided by rationalism is my preferred approach. The joining of both schools of thought is humanity’s best chance of survival, if we are to coexist, in my opinion
