Yeah, that's the issue. AP paints have a weird, inconsistent reaction to oils (and white spirit). Most of the time, the paint just dissolves (even when dry), sometimes there's discoloration, etc. Picrel is a test that I did some time ago.
Either don't use oils with AP, or varnish the fuck out of it beforehand. Which is still imo retarded, because AP costs about the same as other paints that have no such problem.

Does anyone know of contrast paints get wiped off if you wipe off oil washes?

No, I'm not.
I've made the mistake of buying shitload of AP paints about a year ago (the newest range), and they are just shit acrylics. A lot of colors are desaturated, and until the Blanche boxes, they literally couldn't do darker colors. The problem with oils/white spirit is well documented by a lots of people.

Can you paint a good looking models with them? Yes (in spite of their shit quality). Are there much better choices for about the same amount of money? Also yes.
