LCDs and OLEDs are both sample&hold technology. LCDs aren't blurry primarily because of response times, but because of sample&hold. Poor response times do add some trailing and other minor artifacts, but even with instant response LCD/OLED doesn't look anywhere close to a CRT.
Will modern technology ever match the humble CRT?
