One of the most evil things TalmudVision ever did (and is still doing) was propagate this idea of diverse friend groups. And I'm not talking about the token Black, the token Asian (although depending on the setting that's certainly stupid as well), but about the token girl.
The concept that men and women can be platonic friends is a very recent one; and it goes against nature itself. 60 years ago, men had male friends and women had girl friends, they didn't intermingle. That's how it should be. Only women a man should interact with are ones he has romantic interest in or family, and vice versa. The weird thing is that men somewhat get this, it's always men who wants things to be more, and it's always women who go "OMG I thought he just wanted to be friends, I can't believe he wants more. What a creep, I feel so betrayed!".
It's stupid. When a man doesn't go for a woman in friend group there's only three reasons: she's not his type, she's taken (most common) or he's too much of a coward to ask her out. And I'm not saying this because I've read some incel greentext on /pol/, but because I've observed it IRL multiple times.
