>Bridget is one of my favorite video game characters period because he's just so cute. He constantly radiates joy and enthusiasm, the way he dances in his idle animations and plays with his yoyo in his walk animations. Especially the backwalk animation, it's all so fun. He puts a smile on my face and I want to squish his cheeks.
Agree 100%, I love that about Bridget.
>I think you could make an argument for Strive's characterization of Bridget. Like I said in a previous post, if the guy wanted to be manly so bad, you'd imagine that being on his own and not under constant duress would at least compel him to take the nun outfit off. Paired with the enthusiasm he shows despite how girly he is, one could see that there's some contradiction there. It wouldn't be wrong to bring him into Strive and say that despite accomplishing his goals, he's come to find that he likes the person he is and is wanting to accept even the feminine parts. I think that's the original intent with Strive Bridget, especially considering the male symbol on his outfit turning into an androgyne one. I think they just curtailed that in favor of marketing.
Yeah definitely, that's how I see it too. It's a shame because there was the potential for telling a story like that well and it feels like they blundered it to go for "global appeal" or marketing or whatever. They were almost guaranteed to go for feminine Bridget in some form or another as opposed to masculine Bridget like >>723494152, because they always would've wanted to keep the character's iconic look. Sad they couldn't have done it in a way that all the old fans appreciated.
