I remember some guy on twitter saying that, technically, Roland could have been a member of the ten blades of the east, because he WAS born in the backstreets of Q Corp and he DOES have a special sword (Durendal). It's obviously just a crack theory but it was a fun thought to have.

Hell no, Roland is certainly Color level imo, but there's powergaps even between Colors, you can't really compare the prowess of the Vermillion Cross against the Red Mist for instance.
