Anon have you ever seen the public opinion on those movies? People make fun of those all the time. What I think is happening here is you're conflating a woman's life stages as all one thing, when you shouldn't, also no woman is the same woman, they may share extremely close views and life experiences but even then they differ. Let me explain, the hallmark man is the "settle down" man, he's the magical rich beautiful man who will enter a woman's life after she wakes up from the female fantasy, it is less that and more realistic wish fulfillment, she has already gone through the "wild" part of life and wants nothing more now than for the perfect man to come and save her. Again, you should never conflate what a woman wants from a what a woman needs, they themselves are confused on that, but you don't need be, it's extremely transparent, you just need to understand that they have different wants at different moments in their lives, and that at those moments more irrational fantasies are easier lived, while in others, they wish for the stability of a Hallmark movie.
