Was dialogue inspired by David Lynch's purposeful awkwardness or it's simply shitty cause they didn't try?

Without cheating by naming a visual novel, what game has a better story than this?

I'm so glad I got into emulating games. Actually buying physical retro games has gotten super fucking retarded. Why in God's name would Silent Hill 2 on PS2 be more expensive than an actual used PS2? Retro game collecting is absolutely moronic.

Anyone else feel like the story loses its luster on replays since you already know the twist? I feel the same way about KOTOR 1 as well. I think big plot twists are just kinda lame.
