It's the pokemon problem. It's so popular that quality literally doesn't matter, and they know that, because their fanbase treat the series as more of a community or a clique than a product.

So when you diss the "product", they take it as a diss to the "community" and get really defensive about it and start excusing every issue as just being hater propaganda, because at the end of the day, the DO NOT CARE about the quality of the game itself

I hate how n64 all have different aspect ratios and overscans.
Something like snowboard kids 1 takes up very little screenspace, but then starfox 64 takes up the whole screen. I can crop the overscans out so that the smaller games fit, but then other games are too far zoomed in and have shit cropped out.

would probably be better if i used retroarch and set it as a per-game setting, but i don't wanna use retroshart
