>No 3rd party support leaving Nintendo to hard carry the release schedule, which they couldn't really do
>And honestly a lot of the 1st party games weren't even that good. I was like 1/50,000 people to buy Star Fox 0 in it's release week in North America and yeah... it's alright but wasn't worth 80 maplebux
>But Nintendo barely put their games on sale so good luck buying any game on the system for cheap
>Core gimmick was "you don't have to use the TV :D" which doesn't appeal to anyone except gamer dads and literal children
>Literal children can't buy consoles, so their parents had no idea what the Wii 2 was and thought it was just a peripheral
>The core gimmick meant that you could only play the console for like 3 hours at a time before the tablet controller ran out of battery life
It was honestly just a clusterfuck of a system, I bought it for Smash 4 but then they put Smash 4 on the 3DS as well so no one cared. The main Mario game was fine but nothing special, the only Zelda game was a re-release of Windwaker (except BOTW which became a Switch launch title instead lamo) etc.
It's a shame it's region locked as I sometimes see a game for the system cheap here in Yurop, but because I was living in Canada at the time I'd have to go through the hassle of importing them from an NTSC country.
