Honestly I didn't like Raggatha either at first (overly cheery people annoy me) but when she brought up all that suff about her mother I was like "Oooohhhhh now I understand why she is the way she is". Kinda crazy that people can't sympathize with that.

This is only tangentially related, but I've been having a similar issue with what I enjoy about the franchise shrinking. It might not be for exactly the same reason as you, but lately I've been discovering that the writers/artists behind some official Sonic media are genuinely shitty people or they have positions on real-world issues that make me feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm having a lot of trouble separating the art from the artist since the officials I dislike are becoming more and more involved in the franchise.
How do I deal with this?
