>Twilight stands over Grogar, having just blasted him with power of Harmony with her friends, the other alicorns flanking her
>"Grogar, you call yourself the Father of Monsters, but you can choose what that means. Fluttershy has met your creations, your children, and she's made friends with all of them. We don't have to fight. You can be the father you always called yourself, and leave the monster behind"
>Twilight holds out a hoof
>Grogar, winded from the concentrated harmony magic he got blasted with, looks unsure
>His eyes dart back and forth, then settle
>He reaches out a hoof too
>Twilight smiles as she prepares for the long journey to turn one of the most ancient evils into a friend
>Her eyes widen slightly in confusion as Grogar's horns briefly glow the malevolent gold of some unknown spell
>Then the wind pressure hits her as a blur of green smashes into Grogar's side, then disappears just as quickly
>A few hundred miles away Anonicorn slams Grogar into the ground, cratering the earth
>The impact causes the volatile spell Grogar prepared to fire into the unsuspecting, naive alicorn's face to erupt, rupturing and melting the rock, dirt, gems and metals of the crater into a molten slag
>"Anon..." The name is drawn out rough and cold, yet with an undercurrent of what could be called malicious elation as Grogar drags himself out of the magma, shaking it off with ease
"Grogar." The alicorn king cracks his neck as he stares down his ancient foe, pissed three times over
>Once for Grogar still being alive
>Twice for the old goat daring to show his face
>Thrice for him having the gall to try and attack his student
>"I was wondering when you'd crawl out of wherever you were hiding." The father of monster taunts, stretching out his own joints. "I was getting bored with those ponies. Pity you stopped me from taking the purple one's head off. Her prattling was grating on my ears."
"I put a hole through you once, Grogar, happy to do so again." The green alicorn sneered as magic crackled along the spirals of his horn
>The magic twitched and sparked off the horn for instances at a time before being pulled back to the arcane conduit, as if Anonicorn's very magic yearned to lash at Grogar, some long buried instinct
>"Yes, yes, your petty victory. One to you after my... oh, remind me how many times I sent you running with your tail between your legs, whelp." Grogar's own magic spiraled across his horns, twirling like a malevolent dance over the curves
>Anonicorn could recall each time
>More than he cared to count
>He was more like a sturdy toy to Grogar back then rather than an actual enemy worth any effort
>It might have been the only reason he lasted long enough to find the Tree and get the power he needed
"Enough." A flap of the alicorn's wings kicked up the erupted, melted earth, leaving the landscape holding its breath
>"What? No speech about friendship?" Grogar mocked
"Not for you."
