DB tried to the fight keep “grounded”. It’s why Asura the Destructor was basically a smaller version of Cronos. Him being actually large planet size would make Kratos look defeating him look more ridiculous. It’s also why the fight never went to space despite them coping Kratos could survive in space via Ares’s illusion. They really wanted to suck everything out that would make an Asura’s Wrath fight interesting so they could baby Kratos and not suspend the audience’s disbelief too much.

Aside from the super-sized Draupnir spears with no explanations, it’s hilarious how small Asura is in destructor form here compared to the planet-dwarfing size he was in his game. The episode really had to bend over backwards for Kratos to make the fight not look completely ridiculous. Kratos should be smaller than a speck of dust against Asura’s head here (also Asura’s fist being smaller than Wyzen’s finger is even crazier). Also this makes Kratos’s statement about planet-sized snakes being an exaggeration stand out even since Asura is fucking smaller than Cronos. What a sad excuse of a fight.
