Industry Insider here, Tencent unironically wants GGG to die, not because they like losing money but because the contract between the two companies explicitly states that GGG retains autonomy, however, if GGG were to go bankrupt all of that is void and their assets transfer over to Tencent.
They concluded about 4 months ago that that is the only way to get a ROI on PoE 2.
