WT is extremely heavy on tiny, slightly moving details far away from the camera, which is what DLSS struggles with the most. It's not so noticeable in games with maps mere hundreds of meters across with a gun right up in your face, but it IS noticeable on 128x128 km maps when your camera is tailing from a few dozen meters behind a huge, detailed plane that's always wobbling a bit relative to the camera.

Planes are deceptively huge, the third person camera behind ground vehicles isn't nearly as far away from them as it is from planes. Try hopping into a jet and paying attention to the small details on the plane, the artifiacting will be pretty apparent and honestly pretty similar to WT.

From my testing it was mostly fixed (as in made useable and not painfully pixelated) when they upgraded to DLSS 4 aka v310 (earlier if you could override the DLSS version to that on the driver level). I'd still advise anyone wanting to use DLSS to override it as Gaijin might be using the latest version but that doesn't necessarily mean they're using the latest and best settings preset.

I just tried to play the helis and even at an advantageous position, the ZSUGODs and RAPEiers can actually see you through terrain. Spotting them is difficult. God bless you're on a vegetation map and they will snipe you out of the air no matter what trees stand between you and them. The jet fighting is more balanced, but you have to also account for the AA which wouldn't be as terrible if the choppers at least had any chance.

before starting playing ARB i almost finished all the tank trees. I tried it with props and it was a fucking snorefest, literally cock and balls torture. But i like jets.
Then i bought a F-5C and i FUCKING SUCKED with it for a day, and i knew it was (and is) one of the most handheld plane in the game, but i couldn't aim it and understand it at all.
Then the day after i joined a custom match to learn how to aim the guns at least, without the downtimes of finding a match - taking off - engaging - dying to some shit i didn't understand.
It took the whole day but i became proficient in aiming those guns.
Then i started playing ARB again and slowly but surely, i understood how shit worked. When i reached radar gameplay, i watched tim's variety guides and set all up.
As for now, i have US\USSR\CN\JP\IT air trees finished and all jets at a 2-3 k/d, stock to spade. (excluding the one and only F-15A that sits at 0.5 k/d lmao)
It's just a matter of repetition and not raging at the game, but trying to understand where you did wrong

The radar uses something called a "Doppler filter" in order to measure how quickly different radar returns are approaching. This filter is used to filter out ground clutter and chaff because the ground isn't moving towards you and chaff very quickly slows down. Basically everything stationary/slow is intentionally ignored by the radar since real targets are probably moving really damn fast. If the target plane turns at a right angle to you so that its approach rate drops down within that notch on that graph, we call that "entering the notch." At this point the filters intended to filter out stuff like ground clutter and chaff also filter out the target. By precisely flying at a right angle to the radar you render yourself invisible to it because you're using its own filters against it.

Now, advanced radar systems aren't completely stupid. They'll disable the doppler filter once a target approaches the notch. However, with the filter disable, the radar is once again vulnerable to chaff and ground clutter.

I had the same feelings towards ARB - complete frustration. What might help you get accustomed to planes is unironically playing GRB and trying dogfighting there. The amount of enemies in ARB can be overwhelming especially with markers showing where people are and in GRB there will be fewer people in the air so you can take your time with engagements. Like the other nonny said: ARB gets less boring when you get your first jets. If you're playin the US tree I recommend learning how to boom and zoom before unlocking jets. A good plane to do it would be f7f desu.
