there have been a handful of times that scope creep features (that were long waxed poetic about in blog posts) arrived and pissed even the redditors off because it didn't serve any purpose and made the game worse in some way
>farming overhaul
completely broke farming, half of the growing periods don't even line up so they're impossible to grow, no point in doing anything other than making drying racks and relying on foraging/fishing/animals. now obsolete/redundant content
>big trees
harder to drive and navigate because there's more of the tree sprites rendering over your character, have fun dinging off treelines on back roads
>liquid transfer
makes you navigate a new epic unique menu and clogs up previously simple, common two or three click actions (emptying bottle, transferring liquid) to confer nothingburger features like diluting bleach so one bottle lasts forever
>zombie distribution changes
initially a jumbled mess, before newer implementation had months of zombies filling out wilderness so innawoods was dangerously impossible in the big innawoods update, seems more stable/fixed now
>ragdolls
don't know if it was this or something else that fucked up the combat but it's been blatantly broken for a few patches now, the timing on hitting falling zombies is way off and your character simply doesn't obey with delayed attacks/reactions... you can play around it but it's an open sore they haven't addressed yet which is bizarre. suspect it has something to do with their as yet unseen attempt at melee ragdolls or perhaps the janky teleporation/zombie movement when cars collide with them (especially slowly, seriously just slowly rev into some and watch them)
