I find it honestly weird that you haven't gotten any results after a few weeks of getting more still.
Have you tried different approaches? You can plant a seed in water, in earth, in sand, it'll grow differently.
Maybe I misunderstood your expectation. I got the impression that you want grand changes to be noticable quickly. Well, the changes are usually subtle and you surprise yourself with the results over time. As you say, a sprout is visible after a few weeks, but damn it's a whole tree after many years.
What are the other practices you tried afterwards?
Or if you have given up on immortality, what are you shooting for atm?
