No he wasn't, he was doing ass tier numbers, on par with the Ultimates which got deleted from existence for underperforming

Every single time he appears in something new, that's the first, second, and third storyline they do with him, hell that's what they did in the new Ultimate Spider-Man, his sole reason for existence is to say "even a BLACK guy can be Spider-Man" over and over again
