it goes like this; wait for someone to mod back in xseed dialogue as a whole. someone will do that work for me for sure. fork the entire mod; translate all of the relevant dialogue back into japanese including xsneed. Then use AI to fix up the parts that need voice over. I cant wait to enjoy estelle bright saying all of the xsneed lines in japanese these time. I'm also nervous about tita. Tita and Renne honestly. Those two have extremely iconic performances and I have a hard time imagining anyone doing them as well.

or just play the 2004 version along side it. Falcom games writing takes a huge nose dive after sky and it already seems like they are sanitizing all the charm out of it as it is. but the gameplay in the franchise holds up at least as one of the few tactical turn based rpgs that are not focused on wargame like disposable units or are stupidly easy like disgaea

sky FC. It's actually good, the gameplay is servicable, it doesn't shit the writing bed at the end of the game. It's much easier to challenge replay.
Sky SC is also good, but the gameplay is superior to FC, however, the ending of SC is not only bad in general thanks to some very poor writing decisions, but the ending to SC is actually sold as DLC called sky the 3rd. the grinding is much worse in SC than FC. NG nightmare is way more tedious as well.
