american bread and other foods have bromine, which takes up space in your thyroid that should have iodine in it. it was used in old medicines to make your kids put on weight, see pic related
i think mountain dew has this as well.
but pretty much all fast food breads and flour based products like pastry and gravy will have this in the us. this is why keto took off so well there, simply stop eating bromine and you get better.
it's also offgassed in new cars, carpets, engineered wood, and hot tub chemicals.

>If you consume more calories than you burn, yes.
>No it's basic balance. If you eat more than you burn you get fat.
this is demonstrably false, all kinds of diets can cause fat loss, all through hormonal changes. fat storage and loss is hormonal. an not everything that goes into your mouth is used as "fuel", as if you are some 1800's coal fired train or something. protein is never used as fuel, for instance, it is used for tissue building and repair. but overeat it, and you get fat from the hormonal changes it induces.
saying that 2000 calories from mangoes is the same as 2000 calories from mayonnaise is pure retardation

and the science even shows that more exercise isn't the answer either. the only thing that shows sustained weight loss over time is a whole foods plant based diet. in fact a high carb, fruit based diet is the best way to manage type one diabetes
