Learn to use your editor without the mouse. That means learning modal vim-like editing, and finding plugins that help you jump to any visible word on screen, like avy-jump in emacs. For browser, install qutebrowser or use vimium for firefox. Also, use a window manager, e.g. i3. Set up a bunch of workspaces and jump between them.
The only use-case for the mouse remains games (obviously), some browser shenanegans (some scrolling some stupid element), and certain GUI applications if you use anything other than a browser and an editor at all.
Most importantly, switch away from qwerty asap, that helped me. This should be your foremost goal.
