The Cheshire Cat isn't really malicious though. I think FRIEND is probably very similar to Flowey, but critically without the "everyone, everything in these worthless memories, let's turn 'em all to dust" genocidal malice that Flowey has. If FRIEND is a native Darkner, especially if he's an "extra dark" one like Ralsei or the Titans, which seems likely, he basically can't have that level of malice since he doesn't have any memories to drive him to that point. His underlying motive is likely very different from Flowey's, maybe something more mischievious like the Cheshire Cat.
