It's just Idol culture in general. Entertainment-oriented jobs are oversaturated in general, it's another issue when forcing yourself into a specific musical sect that is highly specific on how it should go.

Luckily the dancing and musical parts of Uma Musume are easily ignorable if one doesn't care for it. Some Umas stories look more closely into it than others though.

I have a hard time imagining Urara singing or even being a backup dancer for Unlimited Impact. That said, she came in fourth so she was somewhere there in the mix.
