>Out of curiosity, what would be your "nit picks"?
1. Because the og show was so fucking raw and not giving a fuck about anything, any part of the new one that seems AT ALL "cleaned up", no matter how small, kind of sticks out to me. Pic related.
2. Panty's new VA just sticks out to me like a sore thumb. I think she works for the character but the voice pitch just sounds completely different imo.
3. Brief in general is just more annoying now and also similtaniously less fleshed out. Maybe this is something they'll "fix" further into the season.
4. Some episodes have very little effort put into conflict resolution. There will sometimes be no battle at all and the angels just auto-win after the episode is done with the jokes. The new Kaiju episode is a good example.
5. Brief has a very very VERY quick line in the first episode when he's monologuing and stressing with himself where he drops basically a "it's ok to be gay"-esq line that really doesn't seem necessary. Blink amd you'll miss it, and I'm not someone that's overly triggered even by calling everything woke, but it just seemed unnecessary and forced to me.
6. The Fast & Furious spoof episode is EXTREMELY low effort and I was disappointed. The opening song and into had me laughing but they really didn't do anything creative at all. They just made the same family joke over and over that everyone on the internet always has. Compared to the Soldier Sperm season 1 episode it's night and day quality difference

I can tolerate Garterbelt's redesign censoring his lips and crosses to a degree, I can kinda tolerate them keeping Scanty & Kneesocks incestuous relationship as vague as humanly possible this season instead of being open about it like in season one, BUT the fact that they don't mention Daten City High School or have any school episodes whatsoever this season is way too distracting when you set season 2 only 5 minutes after season 1, I know what they're doing it, but it doesn't make it any less stupid and distracting, do they really think that if someone likes season 2 they won't got back to watch season 1 and see that the first school segment and the segment where Panty is revealed to be a former pornstar are back to back?

Only thing that genuinely piss me off this season is Trigger removing all the pink lips from black characters, other anime series have done that like the Shaman King remake or the removal of the lips from that guy who isn't even black in the latest One Punch Man season, but here it just doesn't work at all (way too politically correct for the show), aside from that this episode was good (at least the last 2 segments)

aside from that, the episode was pretty good, not a fan of the new ending song as I think it is kinda shit compared to the original ending, but on it's own it is alright, also in the making of video they said that they wanted this season to have more fanservice and "push the limits of what they could get away with" and more fanservice is always good IMO

Dead On Arrival, one of my favorite episodes from the original season was the zombie one because everyone in the world died and all the characters turned into mindless zombies yet they were totally fine in the very next episode and was never explained how

They had nipples in Cyberpunk, but I expect this Panty & Stocking season to be tame as fuck since they already censored Garterbelt not to offend blacks, so I don't see them showing nipples like season 1, not even in the cartoony forms

Panty & Stocking season 2 comes out in little more than a week, any hopes of it being any good? I know they censored Garterbelt, recasted Kneesocks due to her old VA retiring and now they won't be allowed to have Scanty and Kneesocks as a incestuous couple due to the newer Japanese laws, but the show is being done at Trigger and they HAD people who previously work at Gainax so unless they all left there must be at least one member from the OG Gainax crew still working on this project, right?
