The game is fine imo. I like that it's different.
I never played much of the refractor games, but since Bad Company 2, I have yet to play a "bad" battlefield game, again imo.
Some of them had rougher launch windows (4, V, 2042) but got there eventually. Also for the record launch 3 and 1 were really overrated and also improved their variety a lot post-launch. That seems to be a theme for these games. I still probably think full content 3 was the peak, but again, I've pretty much liked all of them.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is another game DICE was involved with that had a rough launch and got much better later on.
Actually, I think Battlefront 1 is the only game they've done that I actually think was just bad.
For comparison sake, I still like this more than most Call of Dutys. I'm not in denial or coping about the comparison though, I definitely see the similarities.
