Most of the reason bringing back characters is satisfying for me is seeing how they interact with the new characters and characters from other arcs but aside from the prologue this really doesn't happen in Kai so it just feels like a desperate attempt at getting sales back. You can chat in the Garten but all the dialogue is just generic "lets do our best" shit. The routes are just fanservice but it's not even fanservice done right. They used to handle this stuff so much better.
