At the end of the day,

If you didn't own a Nintendo GameCube?

Then you are a straight-up retard.

I don't make the rules.

Why did Nintendo drop support for Gamecube in 2007?
Why did they cut support for it so early? Xbox original which only sold about 2 million more units had continued support up to 2010 (when Xbox Live ended on the OG xbox).

If you look at Gamecube game sales from around the time, they were still selling millions of copies of games from 2006-2007.

PS2 lasted until 2013 and there are several classic games on it that came out after 2006.

I played a lot of Gamecube in 2006-2008. A lot of people still did as the Wii didn't have too many games on it yet. Plenty of people still played the PS1 when the PS2 came out, you can check the sales and find games that came out in 2001/2002 sold millions of copies. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is one of the system's best sellers and it came out in LATE 2001.

I know the thing underperformed but they could have been a little more gracious to people who bought the thing. They even cancelled Gamecube versions of games like Super Paper Mario among other titles. They were nice enough to not do that to Twilight Princess, at least.

Nintendo has always been a great and immense comfort in my life.

As a child, I loved the GameCube. Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, 007 Nightfire, TimeSplitters, Sonic Adventures 1 and 2, Billy Hatcher... You name it. The Cube was a great comfort to me.
