There is nothing for Thrall to do in Midnight. I agree they absolutely wasted him in TWW but for Midnight there's even less reason.
I think it would be cool if instead we saw Malfurion travel to Harandar and see what the fuss is about, for another male character spotlight.
I think even they realize that for Anduin, another expansion spent brooding like a fag would be the very last straw.
