>Everyone who says this has good gameplay is a parroting NPC who lack the skills for critical thought. The game is a boring homogenized mess where you use the same characters(rings) every playthrough and attach them to different stat allocations(characters), of which who don't matter much outside of a few specific cases. This means you can't even lose your actual characters via permadeath, as you don't lose the rings when a character dies. There are extremely powerful yet boring to use mechanics attached to these rings, such as being able to dance five units in a row or game breaking shit like bonded shield, and their only way to make things difficult in any sense of the word is endless reinforcement spam like you're playing Awakening. It's not an awful game, it's just really imbalanced and dull to play once you realize how overcentalizing and all encompassing the ring system truly is.
