You idiots still don't get what's happening with Evan Stanley, do you? You see her name on a comic or an animation and think that's the end of it. This is the long game. She is going to take over the entire creative direction of this franchise. Let's be real, she's a tugboater. She's never leaving Sonic because she literally can't. Her art style is so fucking niche and we all know she can't draw normal human women to save her life. Where else is she gonna go? Marvel? DC? Fat fucking chance. She's stuck here forever, and Sega knows it. That makes her loyal, easy to control, and cheap.

Compare that to Flynn. He's just a freelancer. Sega only hires him because they think the Archiefags demand it, but they clearly don't respect him. They supervise his scripts to hell and back and won't even use them in the Japanese versions. Flynn has an ego and other projects; he's not going to be shackled to Sonic forever. But Evan? She's already got her foot in the door of the games division with that Trio of Trouble nonsense. She's doing official art for social media, covers, lore books. They're positioning her as the new in-house creative authority. As Iizuka, Uekawa, and Kawamura get older and retire, who do you think is going to fill that void? It's not gonna be some new guy from Japan. The money is in the West, and they're going to hand the keys to the person who's proven she'll never leave.
So get ready for the Evan Stanley era of Sonic. I'm talking mainline games written by her. Her OCs becoming canon. Her bizarre, ugly-ass human women designs showing up in whatever city hub world they cook up next. We'll probably even get game concepts pitched by her greenlighted. Flynn will eventually fuck off to write his own shit, but she'll still be here, the loyal company woman inheriting the ashes of the brand. Some of you fags even want this to happen just to see SoJ burn. It's the grim, inevitable future that awaits us.

just heard from former boss who now works at sega that they're finally gonna do something about evan stanley's absolute inability to draw human women. apparently some exec saw those ugly ass human drawings and nearly had a stroke. they're giving her an ultimatum - either take some actual art classes or stick to drawing furries only.

they're bringing in yuji uekawa to do a week-long bootcamp just teaching her how to draw a normal human face that doesn't look like a fucking potato with eyes. my source says they're making a company policy that all human art has to be reviewed by at least three people who aren't blind.

can't believe it took them this long desu. we've been saying this shit for years. ian's garbage writing + evan's garbage humans = comic disaster. maybe next they'll actually let shadow be shadow instead of whatever the fuck ian thinks he is.

anyway, i'll believe it when i see it. knowing sega they'll probably just remove all humans from the comics entirely and pretend it was always their plan.
