Well Quan Chi, it's the classic blunder that a lot of babby's first forums do. They make far too many individual boards to compartmentalize ultimately everything, having only looked at bigger fish and wanting to be like them. Places like 4chan and Smogon (whose webmaster provided this exact advice in the past) started out with literally just two boards; one for the core subject, and another for everything else. Branch out accordingly according to growth and interest. These principles also apply to multimedia chatrooms, and exceptions can be made if there's genuinely some good reason for a channel to exist.
