>its just more effort and more painful
And thats what makes the good things better.
I might be out of the norm for believing that we need suffering and misery in our life just to remind ourself on how good things can be too.
Anyone who has camped outside for an extended period of time appreciates the basic concept of having 4 walls around yourself and a basic heating element.
Anyone who has relied on public transportation appreciates their own car/bike because they can go drive anywhere, anytime they want, without the hassle of time schedules or overcrowded busses / trains.
Anyone who has never had any friends in their life appreciates tiny gifts way more.
But I'm going way over myself.
Suffering and misery is the same as joy and happiness. Both should be taken in moderation. A balance, if you will.

Then again, I overindulge in philosophical bullshit because its my own hyperfixation, and I get to do whatever I want, because I truly am free as I can be.
