While the prophecy cannot be changed as Toby will only make one ending, we will take either of the girls depending on routes to Gaster who is awaiting us on another program for his Deltarune: the monster with Determination.
From there if we meet him but refuse to hand him either of the girls, we fight him, but the scope of the fight is going to be on a scale too absurd for Deltarune, there will be a new secret game to download after the end of DT that will require a completed run of Deltarune to open, that program is the final battlefield.

Undertale is a complete work and all its 3 main endings smash it out of the park. It's pretty much a perfect game. Deltarune still runs the risk (slim as it may be) of the ending(s) being shit.
Also, honestly weird route is kinda clunky in Deltarune. It's not like UT Geno where the whole vibe changes immediately and all dialog is new. Instead you get a burst of alt content in ch2, a nearly unchanged ch3, and then one (albeit excellent) new scene in ch4 and intermittent dialogue changes at certain points, which many players may not notice because they're otherwise skipping to get through what they've played before. Ch5 really needs to do a big diversion from the main path

Time loop theory has opened up the possibility to me that Susie is actually fucked up and is keeping the entire world in stasis against its will.
This would build resentment towards her for anyone aware of the loop, or fear that knocking her out of it would make something even worse happen. Ralsei makes a huge point on normal and Snowgrave about things being fine "as long as Susie's happy".

Noelle being a wild card is interesting because both Kris and Ralsei fear her potential and choices. Maybe Noelle doing something even worse than looping is what Ralsei fears, but she might be key in changing things just the same as Susie.
I can see Noelle and Carol being all for any change and any different fate considering Dess is gone and Rudy is dying.

Could you imagine if you eventually grew to resent Susie for ironically being the wall of fate?

Something else to consider is the changing prophecy panels that are set to variables, the amount of hearts and non-hearts that appear is completely random on a run to run basis.
Different save slots have different item descriptions.
I haven't even mentioned the prophecy room with repeating murals splayed out all over the place over and over.

What would you think if Toby pulled something like this?
After Kris turns traitor and we beat him, he starts to fade away happy that his role in whatever the plan is over and trying to assuage the party's sadness by saying that it was never really him they were friends with before fading away into the dark.
The story then splits (as in the same ending happens no matter what) where depending on a series of choices throughout the game adding points to a internal check Noelle come with the party to the final dark world or not.
If she doesn't come Susie risks her life to save Kris.
If Noelle is there, Susie is stopped by Noelle asking her not to risk herself.
If Susie saves Kris then you get Kris back for the final stretch not serving as your host, or if Noelle convinces Susie not to risk it she joins for the final stretch.

I just think it would made a lot of people mad and enflame ship wars in a funny way.

Guys is Deltarune worth playing? Just watched Joel's chapter 4 finale, glad to see he actually has empathy, and actually got into theories to the point he pricks up his ears every time pink and yellow is mentioned, too bad he didn't pay attention to Gerson enough and believes Toby to be some kind of subverter of expectations who's going to make a "You need to be evil for good outcome" twist. Also someone should've told him that doing Snowgrave streams are kinda pointless right now since the big payoff is scheduled for chapter 5 at least.
